Calling All Providers

I would like to reach out to all of our providers and ask that you share what you are seeing in your areas as far as the pandemic is concerned. The reason that I am curious is that I have recently been seeing videos that are purported to be video of ”hotspots” where we have been hearing hospitals are being overwhelmed by people requesting testing, or fearing they are sick. These videos show empty testing stations, ambulances sitting idle while drivers surf their phones. First responders saying they have not encountered any sick people. ER departments and waiting rooms empty. Please understand that my goal here is to connect us through shared knowledge and on the ground reports from doctors in a variety of communities to give us all a more realistic, untainted understanding of what is really happening in the country. We live in a remote county in northern Idaho. By all reports our county in Idaho is the only one without any confirmed cases. So I am intensely interested if what our doctors are seeing.
I would like this to serve also as a forum where we can share what we see working and what we see as not being helpful as far as prevention or treatment options. What are you seeing in your clinics? How are you providing a safe environment for your employees, and patients? Do you have a 30-day plan in place? Or are you reassessing weekly? By sharing information, we are stronger as a group. Supporting each other is one positive thing that we can do.
